Looking to buy a new HD TV? DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG

Late in 2005 my husband was very proud of his new television purchase, $2800.00 and he had his new 42” widescreen unit. The picture was great we were happy. But not even two years later the picture went out and the repair was a costly $600.00. We paid the repair and notified the store it was purchased from, nothing. Notified Samsung, nothing. Okay so in total we paid, within a three year period, $3400.00. Then in December 2008 the picture went out again! This time Samsung was contacted by the repair people as well, but Samsung does not respond to communication. The estimated repair was $1200.00!!Excuse me but don’t you think a television that costs over $2000 should last longer than three years? And where is Samsungs customer service? I know of other people who have purchased the same set and they too have had numerous problems and ultimately purchased from another manufacturer. Well we have purchased another set from another manufacturer and we will never purchase another Samsung product of any type, we have lost all confidence. So if you are in the market for a new HD TV I would not recommend purchasing from SAMSUNG.
If you are unhappy with any items you have purchased and have gotten nowhere when trying to settle the matter blog it here.
